Various experiments are underway to improve health by addressing social factors in Oregon's Medicaid population. With a focus on prevention and impacting health before patients end up in the hospital or ER, local leaders have created projects that address such health issues as mold in low-income housing, heating and AC units to keep seniors out of the hospital, and a variety of other interventions.
